I have had many jobs throughout my life that have all contributed to making me the person I am today. From working as a housekeeper where I learned patience and attention to detail to my time spent working as the only english speaking person at a cosmetic factory where I learned more about body language and non verbal communication than anyone needs to, I have made it a point of emphasis to learn something from every job I have held.

My most impactful work experience came this summer when I worked as a summer camp leader for the Port Moody school district. The job had long hours, stressful days, and was understaffed. It was also the most rewarding job I have ever had. The camp was open to all children but specialized on those who come from underprivileged families. Myself along with my two other co workers would plan the day to day activities for the children from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. The campers we had were not the easiest to deal with and many of them came from unfortunate circumstances, which is why we tried to go out of our way to try and give them a little bit of an escape even if just for a few hours a day. This Job required the use of all the skills I had gained at VIU.

Overall, this job was an amazing opportunity and served as a peak into the window that is my future, I cant wait to see whats next!
